On a concrete wall in the alleyway of a Palestinian refugee camp in Irbid, Jordan, Laila Ajjawi works quickly, switching between the three spray-paint bottles that sit at her feet. Within 20 minutes, she has scrawled Arabic letters onto the veil of a girl with cavernous eyes and painted a feather quill by her side. Her mural is nearly complete.

Israeli forces on Tuesday shot and seriously wounded a 10-year-old Palestinian boy during clashes in al-Jalazun refugee camp north of Ramallah, medics said. Medics said the child was shot in the stomach and evacuated to the Palestine Medical Complex, where he was in serious but stable condition. Israeli forces reportedly fired live and rubber-coated steel rounds at protesters during the clashes.

Israeli forces detained a six-year-old Palestinian boy in Bethlehem's Aida refugee camp on Tuesday, locals said. The boy, Abdullah Youssef, was detained as clashes broke out in the area between Israeli military forces and Palestinian youths. The head of a local coordination committee for popular resistance, Munther Amireh, was also arrested while attempting to free the young boy.

A Palestinian teenager was shot and injured in clashes with Israeli forces in Aida refugee camp in northern Bethlehem on Tuesday. Locals said the teenager was shot in the face with a rubber-coated steel bullet and taken to the Beit Jala governmental hospital for treatment.

The line between dreams and nightmares is thin and porous. Such is the case with the creation of the state of Israel. What for millions of Jews was a dream come true, for Palestinians was a nightmare, and an apocalyptic one at that. Around three-quarters of a million Palestinians were forced out or fled their homes, many with suitcases and keys in hand, perhaps naively believing they would be allowed to come back after the cessation of fighting.

On October 29, Israeli military forces issued a disturbing message to residents of Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem, telling them that unless they stopped throwing stones "we will gas you until you die." Israeli military forces raided the camp and fired tear gas and flash grenades indiscriminately at people’s windows, balconies, and down the narrow streets, allegedly in response to Palestinian youths throwing stones at the Israeli separation wall that borders the community.

Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian from the Duheisha refugee camp Tuesday evening during clashes at the northern entrance of Bethlehem, medics said. Mutaz Ibrahim Zawahreh, 27, was hit with a live bullet in the chest and was taken to hospital in a critical condition, medical sources at the Beit Jala Governmental Hospital told Ma'an.
