- April 6, 2026: National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir declared that the law recently passed by the Israeli Knesset (parliament) calling for the death penalty for Palestinians, “is the most moral law. We will implement it and execute them with the help of God. As someone who took everything from them - I want to take life from the terrorists too.” The law - which applies only to Palestinians and not to Israelis - has been condemned by rights groups and the UN, with Amnesty International calling it “one of the world’s most extreme death penalty laws.” Ben Gvir, who himself was convicted more than a dozen times for supporting a terrorist organization and inciting racism before he entered politics, spearheaded the law.
- April 5, 2026: A group of about 20 Israeli lawmakers who are part of Israel’s governing coalition issued a letter calling on the government to fully occupy southern Lebanon up to the Litani River and expel all Lebanese from the area, declaring that failing to do so “would be a historic and strategic missed opportunity.” The Israeli military has already ordered people living in about 15% of Lebanon to leave their homes and communities, mostly in the south.
- March 25, 2026: On March 13, an Israeli soldier shot and killed four members of a Palestinian family, the Odehs, including the mother, father, and two of their children, while they drove near the city of Jenin in the West Bank. In response, Yitzhak Kroizer, a lawmaker from the Jewish Power party, which is a central part of Israel’s governing coalition, told the Knesset:
- “there are no innocent civilians, no innocent children in Jenin… I stand behind IDF soldiers in every situation. Even if the collateral damage includes children or women, it doesn’t matter to me… I have no sense of compassion for my enemies.”
- A week earlier, Kroizer called for Israel to expand its borders and permanently occupy southern Lebanon up to the Litani River, “clean it of Lebanese civilians,” and colonize it, along with Jordan and large parts of Syria and Iraq, declaring:
- “The enemy understands that only when you take land from it does it pay a price… Only sovereignty and settlement… [Israel’s borders should expand] to the Euphrates and the Tigris [rivers in Iraq].”
- March 22, 2026: Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich vowed to overthrow the Palestinian Authority (PA), the western-backed governmental body established under the Oslo Accords that administers parts of the West Bank under the overall control of Israel’s occupying army. Smotrich, who is responsible for overseeing Israel’s illegal settlement enterprise in the West Bank and is a settler himself, added that Israel plans to reestablish several settlements in the northern West Bank that were dismantled in 2005 and “wipe out” the distinction between Areas A, B, and C, which under the terms of the Oslo Accords delineate where the PA operates, declaring:
- “We will wipe out the lines and the definitions, and the letters… We will settle our land in all its parts.”
- March 22, 2026: Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel would systematically destroy Lebanese homes and communities near the border with Israel as part of Israel’s efforts to expel Shia Muslims from southern Lebanon, “in line with the model we applied in Gaza’s Rafah and Beit Hanoun.”
- March 3, 2026: Limor Son Har Melech, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset from the Jewish Power party, posted a photo to social media showing her dressed up for the Purim holiday as “Death Penalty for Terrorists,” holding a noose and a syringe, with her husband holding a gun labeled “Occupation”, a miniature plane labeled “Expulsion,” and a miniature house labeled “Settlement.” The costumes reference Israel’s new death penalty law for Palestinians and Israel’s destruction and ethnic cleansing of Gaza, respectively.
- February 24, 2026: At a graduation ceremony for Israeli army combat officers, Defense Minister Katz invoked the Bible, saying that Israel will occupy parts of Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza “forever” and stay in West Bank refugee camps “in place of the [Palestinian] residents,” more than 40,000 of whom have been forcibly displaced by the Israeli military since last year.
- February 24, 2026: Finance Minister Smotrich declared that a new Israeli road in the West Bank amounts to Israel applying “de facto sovereignty” over the Palestinian territory, constituting “a targeted blow to the idea of a Palestinian state.” He added that Israel will never relinquish control over the West Bank, declaring: “From the river to the sea, there will be only one Jewish state.”
- February 23, 2026: In reply to a question about U.S. ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee’s claim that Jews have a right to take virtually the entire Middle East, the leader of Israel’s opposition, Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid party, said that he supports expanding Israel’s borders “as broad as possible” as described in the Bible, including not only all of Palestine, but Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. While noting practical considerations prevent Israel from doing so now, “Yesh Atid’s position is quite clear - Zionism is based on the Bible. Our mandate over the Land of Israel is biblical, the biblical borders.”
- February 23,2026: Finance Minister Smotrich, told an interviewer from Israel’s public broadcaster that it’s only a matter of time before the Israeli military fully occupies all of Gaza and Israel begins to establish Jewish settlements there again, declaring:

- “Gaza will always be ours,” she added.
- February 17, 2026: At a conference of his Religious Zionism party, Finance Minister Smotrich called for Israel’s next government to “encourage” Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza to “migrate,” declaring:
- “Destroy the idea of an Arab terror state; finally, formally and practically cancel the cursed Oslo Accords and get on the path of sovereignty, while encouraging the migration both from Gaza and from Judea and Samaria [the West Bank]... There is no other long-term solution.”
