Nour al Amal: Palestinian Musician and Composer

Nour al-Amal is a blind Palestinian musician and composer living in the Gaza Strip. She primarily sings and plays the oud. Her sound is reminiscent of the famous blind Egyptian musician Sheikh Imam, whose composition marked an entire generation of populist and socially conscious Arab Music. Nour al-Amal’s powerful focus on the Palestinian experience in her lyrics is distinct and captivating.
