Israel Admits Cutting West Bank Water Supply, but Blames Palestinian Authority

Since the start of this month, tens of thousands of Palestinians have been suffering the harsh effects of a drastic cut in the water supplied them by Israel’s Mekorot water company. In the Salfit region of the West Bank and in three villages east of Nablus, homes have had no running water for more than two weeks. Factories there have been shut down, gardens and plant nurseries have been ruined and animals have died of thirst or been sold to farmers outside the affected areas.

Israel to Close Major Nablus Checkpoint 5 Hours Daily

The Israeli military is expected to begin daily closures of Zaatara military checkpoint in southern Nablus for maintenance, the Palestinian military liaison said Thursday. The liason said they were officially informed by their Israeli counterpart that the checkpoint would be closed for five hours daily for those entering Nablus due to maintenance on Huwwara Street, adding that the closure may last for more than two months.

School Among ‘Dozens’ of Structures Demolished by Israel North of Nablus

Israeli forces on Wednesday morning demolished "dozens" of structures in the hamlet of Khirbet Tana northeast of Nablus, including houses, barns, and the hamlet's sole school, a local official told Ma'an. Munadil Hanani, a member of the local committee of Beit Furik near Nablus, said that Israeli bulldozers under Israeli army escort had stormed Khirbet Tana on Beit Furik's outskirts and demolished every structure there.

Israel Demolishes Homes, Structures in Nablus-area Village

Israeli bulldozers under army escort on Monday demolished a number of Palestinian structures built without construction permits in the northern occupied West Bank district south of Nablus's Khirbet Om al-Rashash village, locals said. Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, told Ma’an that Israeli troops forced residents, as well as foreign activists, to evacuate the structures for immediate demolition.
