The Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU)

The Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing public understanding of Palestine, Palestinians, and Palestinian Americans. Through strategic media engagement, IMEU provides U.S. journalists and mainstream media outlets with timely access to facts, expert analysis, historical context, and Palestinian voices. IMEU helps ensure that coverage of Palestinian issues is accurate, informed, and reflective of the lived experiences of Palestinian people.

In addition to supporting media professionals, IMEU creates and distributes original digital content—including fact sheets, articles, videos, photo essays, and social media resources—that informs the public and addresses common gaps in understanding. IMEU’s work is rooted in a commitment to dignity, justice, and freedom for all.
